Rooftop garden in December, North India Photo journal

"Each flower is a soul opening out to nature."~ Gerald De Nerval

Elizabeth Murray has truly said that Gardening is the art that uses flowers and plants as paint, and the soil and sky as canvas.

This one is a tiny Button rose.

It's about an inch in diameter. Several grow simultaneously on a single plant.

What a beautiful roof top garden! I wrote that quote about gardens being the paint and the soil being the canvas in my book Monet's Passion. I am inspired by Monet and my 25 years photographing & gardening in his gardens in France .

Thank you for sharing your lovely rooftop garden. I have seen 'thunbergia' or 'black-eyed susan' growing free in the Australian bush. It was one of the first plants I was taught about. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
