Life is a combination of freewill and destiny. It is not only freewill or only destiny and astrology is a way to know about it. But the more important thing is the impact of your practices. Your meditation, compassion, work and attitude can change things.

It is through breathing, meditation that we can keep ourselves lively, loving, caring, compassionate, and intelligent.

When life has commitment towards human values such as compassion and nonviolence, then life flows in a proper direction.

Every day, a little bit of breathing exercise to calm down the mind and also meditation twice a day will enable you to live a life which is full of joy, happiness, compassion, love and divinity.

When love glows, it becomes bliss; when it flows, it is compassion; when it blows, it is anger; when it ferments, it is jealousy. Let love be. Don’t give it a name!

I feel pity and compassion for people who indulge in acts of terror and vandalism. They bring harm to both themselves and to the society. But I tell you, they will not be able to continue these wrong deeds much longer.

When consciousness is elevated, it feels as though everyone is part of you. At that time compassion also loses its relevance as an act. It becomes quite natural for you to be compassionate. Not that compassion disappears, but it's not a conscious effort that one has to make.

There are different kinds of strength. Knowledge is a strength. Love is a strength. Compassion and a sense of belongingness is also a strength. Forgiveness is a strength. Strength does not only mean having a lot of money. All the virtues and positive qualities within you are your strengths.

What is the central goal of human civilization? It is love, compassion and joy. It is realizing that for the short time that we live on this planet, we need to make life a celebration! This is what The Art of Living is all about.

Why or how is it that only a Guru can bring about a change in a person? It is because a Guru never wants anything for himself. A Guru wants transformation in someone only because what the person is doing is harming himself or herself. A Guru looks at people with this compassionate perspective which is why people transform when they come to Him.

You should not put on a defense in front of the guru, you should be open. A guru is never judgmental, he is very accommodating, compassionate and only wants the best for you. Not even the second best, only the best!

If you are sad then what is the reason? The sadness in you is there because there is a thorn of desire that is stuck in your heart. And when you don’t notice it, it turns into cynicism, sarcasm, frustration and anger. And if you notice it and manage to pull it out, you will be filled with joy, enthusiasm, contentment and compassion.

We need to learn mental hygiene, i.e., meditation. We must teach our population how to get rid of all the anger, greed, jealousy, and hatred from our mind. It is through breathing, meditation that we can keep ourselves lively, loving, caring, compassionate, and intelligent.

I tell you, the world has a lot of love and compassion and very less cruelty. You’re not in an abandoned world. You’re in a world with a lot of love and belongingness. Have confidence in the goodness of society and of people.

Love is your nature, love does not mean that you keep saying, ‘Oh I love you so much’, no! It is acting with dignity, naturalness, compassion and simplicity, and we are born with these qualities.

One can feel compassion towards one who is miserable, not one who is arrogant, or commits wrong-doings. Such a person should be dealt with strictness without compromising one’s integrity.
