Misery is moving away from knowledge and holding on to desires.

Misery is moving away from knowledge and holding on to desires.
 -Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Sadness is a warning that you have gone away from the Self. Go back to the Self or Consciousness which radiates happiness.

The question “Who are You” is so precious that you should ask it again and again. You will experience that you are pure consciousness without boundary.

Highest blossoming of consciousness: Consciousness which is neither in the past nor future nor in the present but a witness to all 3.

Celebrating the Shiva Tatva in oneself, is called Shivratri. Shiva is transcendental, divine consciousness which brings solace to all layers of existence. Like sponge in water, when mind and bodies are in Shiva Tatva, wishes get fulfilled effortlessly.

If you go a little deeper, you will see that we are all one. There is only one consciousness, and we are all made up of this. Everything has come out of this, and everything dissolves into this. This is the essence of life.

The keenness of observation indicates the level of our consciousness. Yoga expands and uplifts the consciousness, and when the consciousness is uplifted then the knowledge gets very clear and well-founded.

We need to encourage everyone to be self confident and come out of this ‘lack’ consciousness. Those who have should start serving. Those who don’t have, they should start knowing that they will get what they need and work hard.

The consciousness which is bliss, innocence, omnipresent and the bestower of dispassion is Shiva.

When you are in a 'lack' consciousness, I tell you, that seed that you have sown will increase the lack and reduce abundance. Abundance first starts as a seed within you, so feel abundant. When the seed of abundance is within you, magic happens!

When consciousness is elevated, it feels as though everyone is part of you. At that time compassion also loses its relevance as an act. It becomes quite natural for you to be compassionate. Not that compassion disappears, but it's not a conscious effort that one has to make.

In this level of consciousness, drop this identity of garbage as part of you or yours. You find something pricking the mind, just see it as garbage, not yours or someone else’s.

When you become steady and established within yourself, then that is a sign of prosperity and abundance. It is a sign of being graceful and beautiful. When someone is very graceful and dignified, it means that their spirit or consciousness does not stray here and there, rather it is collected and firmly established in the Self. It means that there is a deep sense of contentment.

Do you know what is the nature of Consciousness that gets distracted in different directions? Such a person always thinks of getting something or the other; something from here, or something from there and so on. This is a sign of lack and feeling like a beggar.

When you get into this knowledge, or into the centre core of your existence, you will not feel lonely at all. You will feel that the consciousness around you is alive. You will see everyone as your friend.

The consciousness or the mind in you has the ability to expand and contract. If you know this, and if you understand and experience this, then nobody can take the smile away from you.

In our mind we blow it up, generalize and eternalize the problem. When you sow such seeds (in the consciousness), such things will occur more and more.
