Meditation makes your body stronger and brings vitality. It sharpens the intellect, and brings happiness to the mind. It helps to improve and enhance your behavior and the way you deal with the people around you. It eliminates stress.
A stress-free life, disease-free body, prejudice-free and sharp intellect, and a joyful mind is the birth right of every individual. There are many ways to achieve this, of which music is one wonderful way. We have to take all the three together with us in life – Gaan, Jnaana and Dhyaan. And like I said earlier, we all must whole-heartedly contribute towards Seva. Will you all do it?
The sattvic intellect is one that just does the job joyfully and is unmindful of the results. Let things happen or not happen - either way they don't lose their enthusiasm.
Keep prejudice away - drop prejudice from your mind and intellect; whether it is against another religion, caste, or gender.
An intellect free from prejudice is one which is really intelligent. If you have prejudice it means your intelligence is covered. You may have it but you’re not using it.
No doubt there is no greater purifier than knowledge. But if you get stuck in knowledge only at an intellectual, or literal manner rather than assimilating it deep within, then the same knowledge becomes a source of bondage rather than liberation.
One of Lord Krishna’s many names is Maakhan-chor (one who steals butter). When butter is formed, it floats on the surface and does not sink to the bottom of the vessel. So it is both light and extremely nutritious also. So when our intellect becomes refined and mature in this same way, then we become Sthithaprajna, i.e. one who is equanimous at all times. But one who can steal the hearts and minds of even the most equanimous ones is Lord Krishna!
We are using our mind, our intellect, our memory so much, that it needs overhauling, it needs servicing. Our body needs servicing, our mind needs servicing, and the Art of Silence courses give us the much needed servicing.
The element that is beyond the intellect is within you. Every answer has just one objective, to make you silent. Every question has just one objective, to dive within. If diving within is all that you want to achieve, then what is the purpose of asking so many questions. What will you achieve after asking all these questions and listening to all the answers? Just relax.
When we get stuck with something in life, often we remain stuck in a position; it is the intellect that gets stuck, and this is called prejudice.
A violence free society, a disease free body, a confusion free mind, an inhibition free intellect, a trauma free memory, and a sorrow free soul. Let us all work towards making it a reality, and that is what Art of Living is committed to doing.
