Trek to Gaumukh, Himalaya Photo journal

At Gomukh one reaches the heavenly bliss without any effort.

Magnetic Himalayas

Thirst for the nectar of tranquility drives me to wrestle with the difficulties of travelling to these inaccessible regions of the majestic Himalayas :-)

Trek to Gaumukh in Himalayas

While standing near the holy Gomukh under the dazzling snowline and silvery peaks of the Himalayas watching nature with wonder-struck eyes there was no room for worldly thoughts or memories of the past.

The spiritual atmosphere in the Himalayas is a magnet for me.

As I sat on one of the boulders at the banks of gurgling Bhagirathi - the mother of the world singing a constant hymn in praise of the creator, I lost my heart to the silvery peaks known as Shivlinga and Bhagirathi 1, 2 and 3.

Even though, it was time to return and my body moved on, but the head turned around again and again to see the holy lord once more…just once more…

Nature meditating on the Lord

trek route to Gomukh

The trek route to Gomukh is standard rock, streams and glaciers, with amenities to a minimum of almost nil.

Revering nature is revering God :-)

If Ganga is Brahm in liquid form, what is the proof? Only faith…

Amidst rocks and glacier, Gomukh

Or I'd say, the heart knows many things through its own resources :-)

Those who love God, love solitary places like Gomukh which proclaim the glory of Lord.

The holy Ganga and Himalayas attract me for a trek every year
