बंदउ गुरु पद पदुम परागा। सुरुचि सुबास सरस अनुरागा।।

जन मन मंजु मुकुर मल हरनी। किएँ तिलक गुन गन बस करनी।।
श्रीगुर पद नख मनि गन जोती। सुमिरत दिब्य दृष्टि हियँ होती।।
दलन मोह तम सो सप्रकासू। बड़े भाग उर आवइ जासू।।

Who wrote SriRamcharitmanas? Goswami Tulsidas ji in Uttar Pradesh ( while he lived in Ayodhya ji, Kashi and Chitrakoot.)
Sri Ramcharitmanas paath means reading or singing SriRamcharitmanas alone or with family, friends and a large public gathering. This is a tradition started by Goswami Tulsidas ji to facilitate non-Sanskrit educated people to benefit from Sri Ram Katha. He also started the dramatisation of SriRamcharitmanas. It is a famous Ram Leela which is still enacted after 500 years, in Kashi. Ram Leelas, Ram Kathas and Ramayan Paath are a very beautiful way to connect with Bhagwan.
Sri Ramcharitmanas chaupai, doha, chhand, soratha and Sanskrit Mangalacharans are a treasure in Indian literature and culture.
We are deeply grateful to the author of Sri Ramcharitmanas Goswami Tulsidas ji was writing it for us and the publishers such as Gita Press for printing it for the last 100 years or so.
An original copy of a section of Sri Ramcharitmanas, handwritten by Goswami Tulsidas ji is still well preserved in his birthplace Rajapur in Uttar Pradesh, India. More details here.
